Peacock Feathers

I love Peacock feathers. The colors are breathtaking and I’m just in love with them. I tend to love them on actual Peacocks but when a few fall out naturally, I’m all over them.

In Greek mythology the peacock belongs to Hera. She had a 100 eyed giant named Argus who spied on Zeus for her. When Argus lost his head thanks to Hermes, Hera took Argus’s eyes and placed them on her favorite bird, the peacock. I love that mythology, and when you have a large amount of feathers together, it really does look like eyes.
